The Versatile Blogger Award!

Versatile Blogger

I think, as a writer, versatility is important. Else, we’ll be accused of plagiarism (mostly, self-accused). To be able to introduce new styles and situations, while artfully dodging the practised strikes of knife-throwing by Mr Writer S Block (read my polite letter to him here), is quite a feat by itself and hence, the Versatile Blogger Award. And I’m proud to announce that Ammaarah, a brilliant writer herself, has found me deserving of this award! Thank you so much, bud!

Do check out her blog, guys and gals! You’d be amiss to not read her writings on her life experiences. My especial favourite is The Story Behind This Picture. She talks about how a picture taken of her, helped her kick-start her journey towards courage and kick away her insecurities. A beautiful person, inside and out!

As with most awards, there are some fun rules to follow. The best thing about these blogging awards is that you get to know the neighbours of your tiny comfy blogosphere better! The nomination aspect is, according to me, the best feature. So many new ideas and iterations out there, as yet unexplored and wham, like Vasco da Gama discovered India, you chance upon these wonderful worlds of other bloggers.

The Rules:

A. I have to tell 7 things about myself:

  1. I have recently become a caffeine-addict, thanks to my 6 am lectures EVERY DAY.
  2. I’m as slim as a hippopotamus lazing on the banks of the Nile, but I’m surprisingly quite flexible (read: complete backbends, supported headstands etc)
  3. I’m a self-teacher. I teach myself my academic lessons, Yoga and also voice lessons.
  4. Fickle is my middle name. One minute I want to be a fitness instructor, the next, I want to become the Prime Minister of my country.
  5. I love to dance, though I tell everyone I’ve got two left feet when asked. It’s because I’m insecure about my not-so-appealing figure.
  6. I’m a bossy person. Yup, I just said it. There’s nothing wrong in admitting one’s flaws.
  7. Regarding 6 above, I’m working on it :-). No point in admitting flaws if we don’t work on them.

B. And, my nominees for the Versatile Blogger Award are:

  1. Welcome To Our Campfire
  2. May It Be
  3. Bitchin’ in the Kitchen
  4. Idlejabber
  5. Enigma
  6. Mizaj

Please check out their work! It would be a wonderful read, I assure you!

Until next time,

Love PS
